Paris Party

Today, I am linking to Anita's Blog, Castles, Crowns and Cottages.  She is hosting the Simply Irresistible Paris Party.

 I had my dressform Vivienne model the necklace and shawl I have selected for the Paris party. Vivienne always wears everything so well. I must say I am a little jealous!

 The necklace, a Sheila Foley original, was made for me by my sister in 2006. I was hosting a French themed afternoon tea and my sister thought this necklace might be a nice addition to my outfit.

 She used a tugua nut to resemble the ivory used in scrimshaw pieces. The beads are white, clear and blue.

Here's the back of the tugua nut.  This is what the front looked like before it was etched.

Here's the dress I've selected for the party.  It's by Chanel.  This neckline is perfect to showcase my necklace. 

I am ready to step out into the night ...

Dearest Elaine, this is a magnificent party, with so many views by all of you DEARS who are participating!!! I LOVE THAT NIGHT SHOT OF THAT BRIDGE...I was there but the name escapes me....THAT NECKLACE and dress? FORMIDABLE!!!! Gosh we are having fun...off now to hop to the next landmark...MERCI AND ENJOY! Love that dress.. gorgeous!! just what I would have worn a few years back... had something similar and sad I gave it away... oh well..

The dress is totally my style and I love it to pieces. If you look at the video of my wedding that I have on my blog today, I have on a very similar dress style and possibly the same fabric as well, but in teal instead of black. I think mine was made by Tahari but would have to go look at the tag to be certain. Anyway... I heart your dress.

Just discoverd your blog. I love Paris and all of France, your dress is beautiful. And that necklace is wonderful. Tea and Paris a wonderful combination. Does your sister sell necklaces? Know I am going to have such fun going thru all your past posts.
