Hello again- Summer 2025 so far

How is your Summer so far? Honestly, Summer is not my favorite as aI prefer cooler temps. We've had 3 heat waves in Massachusetts. So, I am not enjoying the outdoors as often as I would like but I will share some highlights..

In June, I celebrated my birthday with friends. First, we had brunch at Seaglass Restaurant in Salisbury, MA. The restaurant is built on pileons right over the water. We went to the arcade and played skeeball and cashed in our tickets. We walked the beach and looked for seaglass and then we had ice cream. It was a great day,

I had another birthday celebration that week. Friends Deb and Paul took me to a little café in Winchester for lunch. Afterwards, we walked around town and went to the Griffen Museum, a book store, and of course, Starbucks.

I did spend some time enjoying our town common. There are a few coffee shops in that area so it is nice to grab a coffee and enjoy the green space on the common.

I also enjoyed some patio time in my own yard. I am the person who takes care of our garden at the condo so after I finish watering I relax by watching the wildlife in the yard.

I went to a Tipsy tea at the Bell Inn and Tavern in Peabody. My sister and some friends joined me, The event was a bit disorganized at first but we went with the flow and had a good time. It was supposed to be tea in the garden but it rained so we were all ushered into the basement which had a speakeasy bar vibe. It was actually a cool space.

In July, I attended the Melrose Summer Stroll with a friend. The restaurants along Main Street are permitted for outdoor dining, the shops offer fun activities, and there are live musical performances. It is always a great event.

Last Saturday, I went with friends to a Cat Video Fest. It was hilarious and we spent about 90 minutes laughing at crazy cat antics. We had a late lunch at Donut Villa in Arlington. I loved the decor and the fantastic menu. My friend had a donut as an appetizer with his avocado toast. I will definitely return to this fun spot.

That is pretty much a wrap on my Summer so far. I hope to squeeze in a few day trips before August ends. Leave a comment and tell me about your Summer.
