Tea with friends- The Wenham Tea House

So my birthday celebration continues, friends Deb and Paul wanted to take me for tea for my birthday. Of course, I wanted my sister to join in the fun. We decided on taking tea at The Wenham Tea House in Wenham, Massachusetts.

Each tiered tray was for two people. There was so much food, we could not eat it all at one sitting!

Everything was so delicious and the presentation was fantastic. Presentation is very important at teatime.

Turkey, ham, chicken salad, tuna and cucumber for the sandwich course.

Cranberry and chocolate scones with strawberry jam and clotted cream.

Macarons, raspberry cookies, and a hazelnut dessert for the last course.

I could not decide between organic Earl Grey and Blue Flower Earl Grey. I chose the Blue Flower Earl Grey and my sister ordered the organic Earl Grey. Since we received full pots of tea I saved a cup of mine for my sister and she did the same for me.  I love when you get a full pot of tea so you don't ever have to wait for another cup of tea. Each teapot came with a small burner so the tea was always hot!

I had brought my fascinator with me to wear to the tea but when I saw Deb's dress I made her wear the hat. It was so perfect with her outfit. She looked absolutely gorgeous and she received many compliments. I think she needs one for her birthday!

I love cats and tea so the sign hanging over my head seemed appropriate.

The sign is also hanging outside the building.

The lilies and hydrangea were in full bloom when we visited.

And here we are posing for a group shot in front of the tea house. We had a great time conversing, eating, and drinking tea.
