Hidden Gem Alert-The Whiffle Tree Candle Shop and Artisan's Marketplace

It's a Fall ritual for me to make a trip up to The Whiffle Tree Candle Shop in Billerica, MA. I try to time my visit when foliage is at it's peak as the property is surrounded by trees.

Nature lovers would enjoy this spot. There's a variety of trees, wildlife running around and a peaceful stillness. It's like stepping back to simpler times.

The leaves crunched beneath my feet as I toured the property on an exceptionally warm Fall day.

Foliage has been delayed by our warm temperatures in New England so I didn't see peak color on this weekend. It was still gorgeous.

I think this is the candle making shop. Don't you love the way the leaves scatter and accumulate on the roof? The colors of all the buildings give a feeling of history.

The day itself couldn't have been prettier. I was so happy it didn't rain on the day I visited.

The Whiffle Tree is open all year round. Looks like they are preparing for a New England Winter.

 Hmm, I have a very similar pair of vintage skis.

More rustic charm on the property.

The trees towered over the buildings, the covered bridge, and the Spring Water station.

I never tasted the spring water from here but I often see people filling their containers.

The covered bridge is a favorite spot for family photos. In fact, I saw a photo session at the Whiffle Tree when I visited.

My favorite candle scent is the New England Apple. I bought it in the smaller jelly jar size.

There are always so many choices of fragrances from Seaglass to North Woods. Something for everyone.

The shop is like a country store. You can buy pickles from the barrels.

And many flavors of candy.  Love those jars!

Of course, Pumpkin Spice is the fragrance of the month.

The candle shop has a chalet feel to it. I think I shall have to visit when the snow falls.

I took a few photos with my phone too. They always look more vibrant, not sure why.

This is quintessential New England. A covered bridge bathed in fallen leaves.

This little boy escaped from the photo shoot I was watching. I guess he would rather play.
