2016- the year in review

It's been a long while since I posted to my blog. Not quite sure why I didn't post too much last year. Actually I do know that Google and Picasa wreaked havoc on my photos and I could not post any pictures to the blog and I can't blog without photos!

So this is a wrap up post of some of last year's activities.  My Dad turned 90 in January of 2016 and we went to Bunratty Tavern to celebrate. He did not want a party.

My friend Karen and I attended a Titanic themed afternoon tea in February. It was great fun.

The food at the Wenham Tea House was spectacular that day!

The World Figure Skating Championships were in Boston in March 2016. I bought my sister a ticket to the Ice Dancing Final as her Christmas present.

We both enjoyed the competition and remembered how fun it was to watch figure skating in person. We used to go to the professional competitions every year.

In  April, I visited Bedford and watched the annual Polecapping.

May was National Historic Preservation Month. Myself and my fellow condo owners took a group photo outside our building for the This Place Matters Campaign. Even Tucker, the dog, joined in.

In June, I did a small business challenge. I visited a different small business every day and I made a purchase at each shop or restaurant. I posted photos and stories of my travels to Facebook.

July is the month for the Summer Stroll in Melrose. I took photos of the event for the Melrose Chamber of Commerce. We were blessed with perfect weather.

In August, the Hartshorne House in Wakefield had an ice cream social fundraiser. I did my part to support this historic home.

The Vintage Bazaar at Pettengill Farm was held in September. My sister and I admired all the artisan's works and displays.

October was lovely and one of my favorite months. I attended the twilight graveyard tour in Wakefield.

Stevie Nicks came to town in November. My friend Jan and I had great seats and enjoyed the performance.  I also hosted Thanksgiving for family and friends.

I had a busy December and Christmas season with decorating, parties and shopping. This is a favorite store, Nesting on Main in Concord.

Well, now you are all caught up. Now for 2017... stay tuned.
