Stuck in 2015?
Stuck in 2015 because I spent hours making this collage and then I couldn't upload it. I must have redone the collage 3 times. Oh well at least I got it on the blog.
So continuing with the year's highlights. In May, I went to Newport for the day and I stayed until after the sunset. It was beautiful eating by the ocean.
June brought warmer weather and I went on a sunset cruise in New Hampshire. I also took two photography workshops, one on edible flowers and styling for photos and the second one was food photography. I learned a lot and they were enjoyable. I also cat sat for two adorable kitties, Leo and Forest. That is Forest hiding on the top of the refrigerator. I thought I had lost him, the little devil.
In July, the L'Hermione the French tall ship came to Boston. My sister saw some of her reenactor friends there. We had lunch afterwards at the Boston Harbor Hotel. I also saw the Amazing Acrocats perform. Yes you can train a cat! I enjoyed the evening with friends Deb and Paul.
August was another fun month. We celebrated my sister's birthday with a day trip to York, Maine. We ate lobster blts with friends Mary, Don and Debbi, went down by the beach and sat in the sun by Nubble Light. I also went to the fireworks in Rockport with my sister and our friend Gena.
In September, I went to the Vintage Bazaar which is an annual event for me. It was as good as ever and the weather was perfect. My sister and I visited Mary and Don again in York, Maine as they rent a cottage there. Sheila and Don did some plein air painting. Another great day. I also photographed the Melrose Victorian Fair. Gena and I went to a lantern festival in Newburyport. It was breathtaking.
The Food Truck Festival came to my hometown in October and we were blessed with a fantastic Fall day. The foliage was gorgeous on the common and the eating was fantastic. My sister and friend Gena went with me. I ate way too much but oh what fun! The Festival is coming this year as well.
November was my month to host the Traveling Teapot. I belong to a Facebook group of the same name and each month a different hostess receives the teapot, takes it on adventures and blogs about it. I had a teapot photo shoot by the Stoneham Police Box, took it to my friend Pauline's for a tea party, took it to the home of Louisa May Alcott and took it to work. I went to see a Q&A and book signing by Giada DeLaurentiis with my friend Wendy. I also hosted my first Thanksgiving at my home.
You may have read my post with my Christmas Bucket List. So in December I was busy with activities like going to see Christmas lights at Nubble Lighthouse in Maine and the infamous Jolie's Christmas party. Gena and I went to a tea burning reenactment in Lexington. I went to the Wakefield Holiday Stroll and had hot chocolate at Burdick's in Harvard Square and of course I watched It's A Wonderful Life. And it was a wonderful holiday season!
A little long winded but there you go. I am no longer stuck in 2015. I am ready for big changes in 2016 and I can't wait!
