Susan Branch's birthday and a blog giveaway

Today is Susan Branch's birthday. If you read my blog often you will know I am a big fan of Susan's. Susan and I have much in common. We both love animals and we have lookalike cats. Her Jack really looks like my Oscar. We are both foodies, love England and tea, and then of course there's Martha's Vineyard. She lives there and I would love to have even a Summer home there.

I met Susan twice at two book signings. Last Summer, I met her in Sandwich, Massachusetts for the signing of her book, "A Fine Romance".  Here's the original book with Susan's handwriting. Susan's husband let me get a peek at it.

So since it's Susan's birthday, I thought I would celebrate by giving away a copy of this book. I bought an extra copy at the book signing and I told her I was going to give it away on my blog.

So, here's what you need to do. Leave a comment on this post. I am not going to make you follow my blog but I do hope you will come back. I'll draw the winner on April 15th and I may even throw in a few extra goodies!

Elaine, hello! Found you via Susan's tweet and happy to 'meet' another SB kindred spirit! I've been a 'girlfriend' many years, and met Susan in 2000 at a book-signing event. How generous of you to support and share her most recent book. Thank you for this giveaway; I will return for further reading of your blog!

Hello I am a big fan of Susan Branch too. I did a blog post about her and she left me a comment!! I already have the book which I bought last year when we holidayed in Cape Cod and took a trip over to MV and bought it there. Just wanted to say hello and I have enjoyed reading your blog!

How lovely that you are a Susan Branch fan. We have that in common. I was considering making a trip to a book-signing in Southeastern Mass earlier this Spring, but it coincided with seriously bad weather (which she blogged about), and so I resigned myself that it was not to be. Fortunately, there will be more! Maybe I can suggest to my local bookstore that she be invited to Maine sometime this summer....
I'm so sad I missed this give away but happy for the winner! It was fabulous to see the original book. I know she is now writing her autobiography --very excited to read that!

My husband and I visited Martha's Vineyard once --it is a beautiful island--bigger than we thought it would be! We were happy we had our car so we could drive all around the entire island. Susan is a very fortunate woman!
